Pondicherry has got an unmistakable French connection. Located on the Southern coast of India, Pondicherry’s tree lined walkways, virgin beaches, backwaters and lots more gives you an air of being in a place away from the hustle and bustle of a regular city. A union territory of India, Pondicherry’s culture is a fine blend of spirituality and French colonial heritage.

Since it is located near that sea, it is safe to believe that Pondicherry has the best beaches to offer to a visitor. While at Pondicherry try to visit Auroville, heritage sculptures and magnificent rock temples of Mamallapuram, the Gingee Fort, the holy temple towns of Kanchipuram, Tiruvannamalai and Chidambaram and the brilliant hill stations of Yercaud and Kodaikanal.
