Madhya Pradesh

Located in the heart of India, Madhya Pradesh literally meaning ‘at the centre’ has got lots to offer to the traveler. Its natural brilliance is supported by its main river system of Narmada, Tapti, Chambal, Sone, Betwa and Mahanadi rivers.

Four important historic sites in the state of Madhya Pradesh are declared to be World Heritage sites; each being The Khajuraho Group of Monuments, The Devi Jagadambi temple, Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi and The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka. If you’re one for architecture, the Lakshmana temple at Khajuraho, the Sanchi stupa and the Mausolea on the bank of the Betwa River are just some of the hundreds of historically rich sites spread across Madhya Pradesh.
