Located just 5 kilometers away from its sister hill station Khandala, Lonavla is another of Maharashtra’s popular weekend getaway locations. Best visited between the months of October and May, Lonavla offers a generous view of the brilliant green soundings of the Sahyadri mountain ranges. If you’re at Lonavla for a short holiday you might want to visit the Tugauli, Lonavala and Bhushi lakes, including the Walvan Dam. Also be sure to pick up the famous Lonavla Chikki that is a sweet snack of Jaggery and peanuts.
