Jharkhand

Brought into existence in the year 2000, Jharkhand is India’s 28th state that is rich in mineral resources like Uranium, gold, Mica, Silver, Quartz and more. Jharkhands’ wildlife, waterfalls, flora and fauna are also an added attraction to the state.

Jharkhand’s capital city Ranchi is one of Jharkhand’s prettiest cities. A picturesque hill station that talks of colonial times is sure to captivate any visitor. Some spots to visit in Jharkhand could be the War Cemetary that is the smallest concentration cemetery in India having around 700 burials. The Kanke dam is also a spectacular tourist spot that is regularly frequented by tourists. If you’re one for admiring the miracles of nature, make sure that you visit Netarhat. It is a beautiful sunset and sunrise point, a couple of hours from Betla. The Betla National Park at Palamau is also worth a visit between the months February and April. It is here where the world’s first tiger-census was conducted in the year 1932. The best time to visit it is between February and April. You might also want to visit the old caves at Jharkhand where art historians have studied some of India’s oldest cave paintings.
