Rajkot
Located in the State of Gujarat, Rajkot is situated in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Literally meaning the ‘City of Princes’, Rajkot has much to offer to the visitor. The city is best known to most people today as the place where Mahatma Gandhi spent the early years of his life.
Amongst the places to see in and around Rajkot, The Watson Museum and Library is a good example to understanding Saurashtra’s cultural heritage. Kaba Gandhi No Delo is the house where Mahatma Gandhi grew up, though now it is a museum that holds an exhibition of Gandhian items. The Jagat Mandir is the beautiful carved temple made of red stones that is dedicated to Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa.
