Hyderabad

The ‘city of Nizams’ or Hyderabad has a unique cultural blend of north and south India. Now an IT hub, Hyderabad located in Andhra Pradesh is Bangalore’s competition within the boundaries of India.

If you’re looking for tourist attractions in Hyderabad it’s safe to say that you will not be disappointed. The Charminar monument is pretty much the signature monument of Hyderabad as the Taj Mahal is of Agra. The monument was said to be built as a charm to ward off an epidemic. Besides the Charminar, Golconda Fort is also an important spot to visit. If you’re making a trip to the fort try not to miss the Sound and Light show at the fort. The story of the fort’s history and background is wonderfully told through this show. Some other places to see are the Mecca Masjid, Birla Mandir, Andhra Pradesh State Archaeological Museum, Nehru Zoological Park and many more. If you’re an ardent shopper, Hyderabad’s markets will surely enthrall you. Traditional crafts, jewelry, spices and lots more can be found at markets like Begum Bazaar, Laad Bazaar and Mahatma Gandhi Road.
