Tirupati is not only a holy pilgrimage place but it is a place enriched with beautiful nature and wildlife around it. The temples in Tirupati and Tirumala areas are worldwide famous and attracts a number of pilgrims. People who visit Tirupati cannot miss seeing the wonderful nature-gifted things in Tirupati and nearby areas.

There is a famous waterfall known as “Akashganga Waterfall” in Tirupati which is located at 3kms away from the Lord Venkateswara’s temple. The significance of this waterfall is that the water from this heavenly Ganges is used for the Lord’s bath every day. It is said that in the past, the temple pundits used to go through the rough jungle path to the Akashganga waterfall to collect water for Lord’s bath. But after the establishment of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the waterfall was directly connected to the temple through internal pipelines. The Akashganga waterfall looks beautiful in the rainy season when the water from the mountain gushes down through a stream. The bath in this waterfall is quite energizing.

The Papa Vinashanam (Cleanser of all sins) is a reservoir which is situated at around 5kms from the Lord’s temple. There is a dam constructed at this reservoir to maintain the regular flow. It is a popular belief in Tirupati that the waters from this “Papa Vinashanam” wash out all the sins from the devotees’ body.

TTD gardens are another sight-seeing place in Tirupati. It is located close to the main shrine of the Lord Venkateswara. It is an ornamental, flower and landscape garden which covers 460 acres of land. A total 500kg of flowers are supplied to various temples of Tirupati and Tirumala from these TTD gardens. It enriches and adds up an element of beauty to the great Lord Venkateswara’s temple. There a number of small ponds and streams with Lotus flowers which make the garden look simple refreshing and energizing. There is also a dam called Kalyani Dam which provides water to entire Tirumala and Tirupati city. It is a great picnic spot. Kalyani Dam is located at around 18kms from Tirupati near the Rangampet forests.

There is also the Talakona Waterfall near Tirupati, which is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. Talakona is actually a place which is very famous there for waterfalls, dense forests, nature and wildlife. The forests in Talakona have few animals which are really rare and endangered species on the earth. Some of them are Slender Loris, Indian Giant Squirrel, Mouse Deer, Golden Gecko, Panther, Porcupine, Chital etc. Apart from animals, Talakona forests also have a number of rare plant species like Red Sander, Cycas Beddomeii and Enteda. The Talakona forest of Tirupati is densely covered with Sandalwood trees. There are also a number of medicinal plants in the forest. This place is even good for trekking. In Talakona, there is a 240 meter long canopy rope walk. With a canopy walk, you will be accompanied by a number if monkeys and birds around you.

Tour Indias cater to the tour needs of public from all across the world and provides them information on how to tour India

Vacations seem to be a luxury these days for many Indian families that are forever on the run to keep up with individual schedules. For most of these families the chance to relax together usually appears when they converge in front of the living room television during or post dinner. Very few people get time to actually explore the city they’re living in let alone visit any other locale within India. Tours in and around India are guaranteed to be fun filled tours that would fit perfectly into the life of a routine oriented family all the while giving them a pleasure of having visited a new city and seeing sights they had never seen, taste exotic flavors they have never tasted and hear a medley of sounds they never heard before.

India has got a lot to offer to a traveler. From outstanding architecture, to local cuisine and cultural festivals…you ask for it and India’s got it. India also plays host to a range of stunning hill stations, gorgeous forests that balance the awe inspiring historic monuments that still stand tall.
Online bookings for tours and online tour planners are popular and extremely easy options that people use to help plan their holidays. Tour websites often offer the detailed information about destinations of tourist interests, popular package costs, hotel rates and much more.

Depending on the amount of time you have allotted for your vacation, holiday tour websites customize tour packages to places like the serene peaks of Himalayas in the North to the golden sandy beaches of the South.

Plan tours to experience the vibrant and colorful festivals of a locale and sway along with the folk music. People looking for relaxation can head South to the backwaters of Kerala, where ayurvedic medicines and massages will help rejuvenate your body and mind. For those party-animals and shop-a-holics, there is a lot in store. From the bazars in Hyderabad to the parties on Goan beaches, India has something for everyone. For the more religiously inclined, a tour to the holy cities of Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kailash Mansarovar and many more are a must visit. Historic architecture is also in abundance in India. The splendid Taj Mahal, The Lotus Temple and the exquisite rock temple art at Khajuraho are just some of the exquisite examples of heritage structures that still stand tall around the country.

Tour Package India

The seemingly never ending list of places to visit in India, with vibrant customs and cultures that vary from state to state is what makes India a popular tourist destination. The Indian travel industry is so large that is has various hierarchical levels that manage different functions of the tourism department. A lot of times we have been questioned on the difference between tour operators and travel agents. Though with similar meaning designations, their operational roles are quite different from each other.

At the top you’ll find the tour company that decides the contracts with hotels, resorts, airlines and ground transport companies like private cars, buses, vans, ferries and trains & etc using various budget levels to suit the needs of various classes of travelers. Tour operators usually are the people who organize and/or provide package holidays by using the prices, hotel and transport information etc. They are involved with handling things on the ground like the drafting of detailed tour packages and distribution of these packages to associated travel Agents. The travel agent then accumulates information of travelers who wish to use the tour packages being offered and sets them onto the appropriate tour.

A tour operator as the name suggests has a big hand in operating a tour and making sure that a tour runs smoothly with all the necessary bookings being made with allied transport companies, hotels, activities, events etc. Aimed at larger groups of travelers, they usually are responsible for booking and arranging:

Licensed and qualified tour guides who will manage and guide a tour effectively and efficiently around a city.

Transportation that is necessary to get to the designated spots. The transportation means could be anything between chauffeur driven cars, to train tickets to cruise tickets.

Any accommodation like Resorts, or apartments, Camping Sites, etc that would accommodate a traveler during his period of visit.

Food & Beverage packs that could include combinations of Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, buffet meals or packed food.

Of course managing the essentials related to sight seeing like organizing night trails, treks, or even adventure sports like scuba diving or visits to places of historical significance.

Special requests also are handled by a tour operator. For example if an event has been organized with an office tour, a tour operator would be responsible to ensure that any meetings or gatherings at a hotel or conference room of choice would be arranged with the necessary equipment, food, lighting etc that the tour group may require to function.

Travel agents on the other hand provide travel advice to travelers, and basically promote and sell tour packages received from various tour operators. They also are responsible for the administrative section of a tour like the management of tour bookings etc. Catering to more personalized smaller sets of people (of say 4 or 5 members), most travel agents may target to a special audience like only commercial trips. They are also responsible for organizing the insurance, car rentals, private tour guides etc of any tour party.

Armed with this information, the next time you go traveling, if your group of travelers is small it is advisable to choose a travel agent over a travel operator. Everyone runs under a budget and the travel companies are aware of it. You’re just required to look around to find a travel guide that fits into your budget and travel plans. However, if your tour is going to be a large one like a company tour, a tour operator would be more appropriate to help ensure that all your requirements and travel essentials are well taken care of.
