Coimbatore

Referred to as the “Manchester of South India”, Coimbatore is an ideal holiday destination with ample places to visit and explore. A mix of traditional and modern, Coimbatore city is one of Tamil Nadu’s largest cities.

Some of Coimbatore’s major tourist attractions are the Madhumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Kodaikanal and Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary. The Madhumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for the elephant population that it houses. A part of the Nilgiri biosphere reserve Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Deer, and Snakes can also be found in large numbers at the wildlife sanctuaries. Kodaikanal situated 138 km from Coimbatore at the top of Palini Hills is one of South India’s popular hill stations. The Bear shola falls, Silver cascade, Kodai Lake and Kukkai caves are some interesting places to visit while at Kodaikanal.
