Assam
A gateway to the Seven Sister States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura); Assam has some of India’s most magnificent wildlife reserves. The Kaziranga and Manas national parks are two of the most famous wild like reserves in India. Even Assam’s Tea estates that date back to the times of the British rule are a delight to see.
Amongst the sights to visit in Assam, one must visit the Brahmaputra River, numerous temples including Kamakhya of Tantric sect, ruins of beautifully built palaces, etc. Assam’s capital Guwahati has many bazaars, temples, and wildlife sanctuaries that you could visit.
